Increase in Litter around the Town

Published: 27th May 2020

Wivenhoe Town Council employ a number of staff who care for and maintain the facilities and open spaces in our town. One of their many jobs is to clear litter and we know that this service is very much appreciated. Litter picking has continued throughout the Covid-19 crisis and the staff have helped to cover CBC services, such as emptying bins, as we know that they are under immense pressure . Over the last week where people have been congregating there has been an increase in litter around the town, particularly on the Quay and on the KGV playing field. We would be grateful if you could please take your litter home, not only to alleviate the work of our staff but also to help us keep our town clean and beautiful.

Thank you,

Town Clerk.
